Working within the existing footprint of this 1940's building proved to be just the type of challenge that we love.

The existing building had a double volume banking hall which was hard to adapt to a courtroom set-up. Our solution was to introduce a slab that sandwiched in between the existing ground floor and the underside of the decorative roof beams.

The project entailed a completed refurbishment of the entire 3 storey building with new Public Bathrooms, Waiting Rooms, Offices, Magistrate Offices, Administration Offices, Tea Kitchens, Archive Rooms, Server Rooms and a separate Cell Block.

The Regional Court moved in on the Ground and First Floor Level and the Family Court occupied the Second Floor
